Spring Tree

Don’t know how it is in your corner of the world, but here in the Netherlands winter is simply refusing to pack his bags, so it’s still freezing cold and it even snows in some parts of the country. I just can’t take it anymore, I want sun, flowers, colors, being outdoors!! To make all a little bit better, I made a Spring Tree today. I bought some tranches in the supermarket nearby and decorated it with crocheted flowers, paper flowers and butterflies. I’m really happy with the result! Feels like spring will come after all.

A pattern for the flowers you can find here!

  1. I love it! I was thinking about doing the same thing for my feather tree since we have over a month before Memorial Day:@)

  2. Love your approach to dealing with a lack of outdoor spring greenery! That tree is so darling and festive.

The season was slow in returning on this end, too, but finally rushed back into town with gusto a few days ago. Easter Sunday was so gorgeously warm and sunny that it might stand as the prettiest Easter (in terms of the weather) I've ever enjoyed. I know that the usual spring rain and fluctuating temps will post likely strike us soon, but it sure was nice to enjoy a warm Easter for once.

Fingers firmly crossed that spring returns to your end really soon too, dear Liz.

    1. We don't have snow here (The Netherlands) here anymore, but it still doesn't feel like spring. Although we will have 18 degrees today, so it's going the right way!
