Thank you, Michelle!
Okay, how did you do it? Is it Filet? Whatever it is, it is adorable? Is it made so you can make it larger for each brthday and change the number?
Hi Paula! I used a shelf edge pattern and stitched felt behind it. The crown itself measures about half of the head, the other half is made of elastic. I use it for just one birthday and will make another one next year (because I love to make things for my daughters's birthdays).

This is just adorable! Makes me wish I had a little girl :). Where did you get the pattern? Thanks for sharing at Hookin On Hump Day!
I didn't have a real pattern for it, but used a pattern for a crocheted edge for cupboards . I crocheted about 25 cm and for the part on the back of the head I used elastic, so the crown wouldn't be to tight. After that I embellished the crown with rhinestones. To solidify the crown, I put felt at the back.
I love to hear your comments! Thank you for telling what you think!
